The mosque village Verkhnaya Korsa

 The mosque was built in the middle of the 19 th century by Gubaidulla and Ahdulkarim (1813-1873) Apanaev, Kazan merchants of the second guild. In 1863 Abdulkarim Apanaev extended the building adding three window apertures to the northern part. In 1880 the building was repaired. It is a two-storeyed building with two praying rooms and a minaret on its roof. The household facilities were on the ground floor. The main storey has the enfilade of the praying rooms and the vestibule. The corbel of the mikhrab on the south facade has a gable roof. A minaret, moulded plant ornament and polychromatic painting of elements in the interior were lost in the 1930s. The original look of the annex which was added to the building during the Soviet regime has been distorted.
The mosque is the monument of the Tatar religious architecture of the middle of the 19th century, built in the style of the late classicism.
